Saul to Paul: A Great Conversion - Acts 9

For those unfamiliar with the story, Saul was one of the greatest persecutors of Christians in that era.  He came by this sin in a zealousness to protect his father's religion, and as a result, upon a miraculous conversion, dedicated his life to reversing the damage he'd caused.  Throughout his 4 extensive ministries to Asia Minor, Greece, Jerusalem, and Rome, he became great friends and allies with the apostle Peter.  You can read their exciting stories and their noble sacrifices by completing the entire chapter of Acts.

John The Baptist - The Book Of John

The New Testament book of John, unsurprisingly tells the harrowing tale of John the Baptist.  A wild man of sorts with his dirty hair and unique taste in clothing, today he would more than likely be mistaken for Tarzan than one of God's greatest instruments.  He had the distinct of baptizing Jesus Christ, and converting and baptizing numerous others in the name of God.  As well as an exciting life, like many great missionaries of that period, John died a horrific death.  You can read about the circumstances behind his death, by turning to Matthew 14:1-12.
